In order to make our opening as professional as possible we want the audio and the clips to be in perfect sync. We're aiming for high pitched shrieks or piano notes on each of the jump cuts between shots. The audio will continually build to crescendo and then stop suddenly on the next shot. This will build the anticipation for viewers and heighten our 'scare factor'.
In order to do this we have opened up the sound waves in iMovie so we can see exactly when the music builds, we then need to crop our video clips to match these waves. It's a strenuous task as it has to be so precise. Also once you adjust the length of one clip, all of the following clips are not in sync with the music. I think this task will take up several editing sessions, but after that there is very little left to do.
